Apologies to all of you who have come looking for my vacation post.
I have unusually succumbed to a summer plague.
Yes, the dreaded Hayfever (allergic rhinitis). My doctor says she has never seen anyone so bad with it in ages when she saw myself the other day.
I look a bit like this. (understatement)
However, all is not bad news, I have managed to watch a few games of footie and have seen that my second favourite football team has progressed to the knock-out stages and I have a new found admiration for the cricketeers from another island nation and Andy Murray marches on.
Book reading has taken a back stage, my eyes water too much and that has also screwed any attempts at painting or modelling but I have managed a few tasks requiring low visual acuity, namely varnishing and basing a few figures.
Normal Service will be resumed as soon as possible as they used to say in TV land.
I feel your pain ! , got it bad to ! - oh ! for heavy rain !ReplyDelete
Am not sure I want the 'heavy rain' but certainly relief from the symptoms would be handy.
Am on tablets, nose spray and eye drops which is OK for now. My last health event was a bad reaction to medication so am hoping to get away with it this time.
my Dad, also suffers as does my wife. But now in Japan we have rainy season which means mind numbing humidityReplyDelete
Living in Japan, for a Westerner, must be very interesting!Delete
I hope you feel better soon- it is a debilitating thing indeed. What about watching some Glastonbury too?ReplyDelete
My symptoms are diminishing, thank goodness, I managed to do a bit more basing last night.
I won't get too excited by Glastonbury, I'm still getting over the Beatles breaking up. My wife will like it though as she is a Metallica fan (heaven knows why).
Cricketers??? Did i hear you right Jim? LOL :>)ReplyDelete
The pollen count has been very high of late- it will recede and you will feel a lot better matey.
You know me Darrell, being Scottish I tend to support the underdogs. The way things are going that might bring in some 'english' teams so I may have to revise my strategy.Delete
