Dux Britanniarum - Britons - Finished

Despite a number of distractions I have finally completed the painting and basing of my British force to use with Dux Britanniarum.

I will let the figures speak for themselves in a series of pictures.

The Leadership

The Elites

The Warriors

The Levy

A selection of skirmishers

Light Cavalry

Shock Cavalry

And a peasant with his cart, cost me a fiver at a bring&buy, make and painter unknown.

Now all I need to do is to find some Saxons to battle against.

The figures look great. I've always had an interest in the period. Maybe "one of these days"... ha

  2. Hi Jim,

Very nice looking set up - I am a great fan of the understated approach to painting and you seem to have this style spot on. Very inspiring and I need more inspiration like a hole in the head - now where did I put my copy of Dux and Saga?

    All the best,

    DC

    1. It's a compromise forced upon me by a combination of eyesight and painting time!

    1. One of my chums is doing Saxons slowly. I hope to paint mine more swiftly!

    1. Yes, well spotted!

I ran out of round shields at the time so I used what I had to hand.

I may change them in due course.
