Yes, that's right, there's a Prussian in my jungle hut.
Are you sure?
Yes, he's definitely a Prussian. What's he doing here?
I was too lazy to find a more appropriate figure (if I have one) while I was keen to get some WIP photos of my jungle hut. It's a Warbases building.

I've added a few internal details.
And a few outside.
I've added a few matchsticks to beef up the underfloor supports, a simple job even for the most ham handed modeller.
A mosquito net is a must-have for any whiteman endeavours here.
Lots of clutter here ...
... and there.
What's next?
Some more clutter, inside and out, and, wait a minute ... some jungle.
Watch this space.
Well, now you've done it. You've created a hole in the space/time continuim. Now you're going to have balance the universe by plopping a native warrior into a Euro-scene (Zulu, American Indian, p'haps an Afghan tribesman)--one as nicely crafted, of course, as your splendid jungle hut.
ReplyDeleteI expect someone in a big blue box will phase in and sort it out.
DeleteGreat work on the jungle hut! Reminds me of the old Airfix Jungle Outpost.
ReplyDeleteNever had one of those, was too poor :)
DeleteLooks like the chap may be Prushin to lay down a deposit on that domicile!
ReplyDeleteNot a great environment for a European.
DeleteExcellent use of the "scratchbuilt" items.
ReplyDeleteI've made a few more since but they need painting before mounting.
DeleteI've also had a go at a fishing net made from medical gauze dyed with tea.
Nice!!
DeleteWhat a splendid Jungle Hut, I understand why we come from so far to see it!
ReplyDeleteBack of beyond sort of place.
DeleteLovely work, can’t wait to see the jungle...
ReplyDeleteAlan
The plastic jungle went into place last night.
DeleteIt should get some static grass and some tufts later today.
