Wish I could Jim....bit of a hike for me though! I think Claymore is the event I attended twice in the mid to late 70's as a 13 to 15 year old, with my dad and a couple of gaming school friends...we also did one in Glasgow one year...three remains the total number of wargaming shows I have ever attended, sadly!

I remember Raymond, we wrote a set of Middle Earth wargaming rules together, which only ever were hand written copies. I have a copy still, somewhere in the house.

DeleteI am as fit as I'll ever be now. Just back from a week in the sun, a deep water dip in the Atlantic and a few hills that brought me to a standstill.
Only P&S I have is in 'Epic' scale as a painting test.
Just finished a big commission for an old friend. 30 Years War Swedish in 28mm, took forever.

Jim, it was good to chat with you and discuss all of the various places in America you visited. It was nice to finally put a face to someone who's name/account on various wargames topics. Glad to hear the market sales were good for you!
ReplyDeleteHi, it seems I short changed you on my list of US states that I have visited. New York, New Jersey, Florida, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and California. Given my age I doubt I'll add to that now.
