Fortunately I had my Christmas obligations met before I went in last Sunday.
So another 8 day trip around Edinburgh hospitals, lots of blood, lots of pain, little urine, lots of tubes, numerous bags of fluid, more tablets, less tablets and did I mention even more pain.
However I am now only 2 days away from seeing the Consultant and hopefully get details of an action plan that includes more than just treating the symptoms.
Most annoying bit is I have not touched any of my toys this past week.
Now, can someone remind me when this Christmas lark actually starts.
Sounds like you've been having fun Jim. Well I hope your Christmas gets a little better from now on!
ReplyDeleteFun doesn't really cover what I've been through in the past few days but I'm still standing and smiling.
DeleteHope Christmas is a 'good' one for you and that things are sorted soon - as for when it starts, I reckon it starts when you feel it does. In my case, now, all the travelling is done and I can just relax...
ReplyDeleteYes, no more travelling for me for a few days at least but I would certainly want to be able to drive to York in February for Vapnartak.
DeleteJim all the best to you and the family at Christmas. Hope everything improves in 2018...
ReplyDeleteThanks Wizard and Hilary.
DeleteCertainly looking for a bit of an improvement.
Might have missed sending you a Christmas card this year because of all the to-ing and fro-ing.
Merry Christmas
Damn, wrong Bill.
DeleteMerry XMAS to you and Helena.
(Must be the medication)
I hope you have a more restfull Christmas and can get back to painting some toys.
ReplyDeleteTo the best of my knowledge Christmas starts on the 6th of November...;-)
All the best. Aly
Thanks but is that before December 25th or after?
DeleteNever mind, Christmas wasn't too much fun for the Holy family either!
ReplyDeleteYou still have Hogmanay to look forward to!
And there's me T-Total too.
DeleteLet’s hope Christmas can start for you now and that you get some seasonal cheer and r&r at home.
ReplyDeleteAlan
Had a vague notion of PVA-ing some static grass tonight but the medication is making me a bit woosy.
DeleteCalendars can be over rated--Christmas is better defined in the observance. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteQuite
DeleteOn the plus side you’ve not had to do the food shopping. Now get something painted.
ReplyDeleteWill perhaps have a go on Christmas Day evening as the house will be busy through the day but emptier in the evening.
DeleteHope all goes well next week Jim and good that you are home for Xmas. Enjoy the break if you can.
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteHi Jim,
ReplyDeleteWishing you for all the best for Christmas and I hope you have a better 2018.
All the best,
DC
Worst year I've had so far so hope next year is better.
DeleteGlad to hear that you're home again. Take care, gave a Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2018.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I was back in hospital just after midnight and then again after lunch. More gore running riot through my nether regions.
DeleteBest wishes to you and yours , Jim.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sir
DeleteAll the best Jim to you and yours , Tony
ReplyDeleteAm hanging on.
DeleteBest wishes Jim! Hope it can be sorted for you soon.
ReplyDeleteTwo days to go till my consultant visit and probably several weeks before my op.
DeleteBest wishes for the Year End holidays and the New Year. May it be a year of healing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jay.
DeleteMerry Christmas! Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dan
Delete...puts my cough and cold into perspective.. best wishes for a recovery soon...
ReplyDeleteHi Steve
DeleteYes, I've had coughs and colds before (everyone has) and I've also had more serious conditions. This one has topped them all in the extent of pain never mind spending most of the last fortnight in hospital, or going to hospital, or coming back from hospital.
Had a breakthrough this afternoon which I will post on the blog.
