Plan A, Part 3

Had a phone call this morning from the hospital.

They have had a cancellation and can do me on January 8th.

Hope that doesn't mean some poor soul has died and made a space for me, but then that is the way of the world.

I have to go to a Pre-Op Clinic first thing tomorrow and tell them all the things that are already in the system. I hope I can remember them all again.

  1. Jim,

That is very, very good news! With luck, you should be well on the road to recovery by the end of the month, and hopefully you'll be able to get back to your wargaming table soon.

    All the best,

    Bob

    1. It is perhaps not the end but it may be the end of the beginning.

  2. Glad they got a cancellation, with an aggressive tumour, I think you must have been fairly at the top of the list for a spare theatre slot. Don't worry why the cancellation occurred, most occur due to inconvenience or the patient not feeling well (colds and the like).
You are important, I hope and pray the op goes well and you have an excellent prognosis post op.

    1. Thanks Herky.

I am now trying to work out my expected recovery to see if I can scrape in a visit to York on the 4th of February.

It will be awfully tight. I won't be able to drive but maybe my chums can fill in.
