General Winter has arrived
Well some decent snow has finally arrived in my neck of the woods.
Here is my personal transport which I don't really need to use until Monday morning.
It looks like you have had about as much snow as we have had in London. Luckily I don't think that I will have to go anywhere for the next few days and I will be staying indoors in the warm. I hope that you can do the same.
Our next definite requirement to travel is Monday morning when we normally do the weekly shop. Unfortunately the nearest hypermarket is uphill from us (but not too far).
The snow came in one concerted shower over about an hour and is just about stopped now. We are not due much more snow according to the forecast for at least a few days.
This should confuse some of the international readers of this blog.
I live in the South East. Mosstrooper lives in the North West. Mosstrooper is way South of me.
I live in Scotland whereas Mosstrooper lives in England. We(in the UK) tend not to get confused when another UK resident says N.W. because we know he probably means N.W. England which is pretty much in the middle of the UK. I live in S.E. Scotland which is in the North of the UK but quite far South compared to Aberdeen.
Jim,

All the best,
Bob

And I live in the North East .... of England, where it is also bucketing down with snow too!
DeleteYup, more has fallen here since!
DeleteSame here Jim - we had about 3 inches of snow on Monday, and more yesterday and today.
ReplyDeleteWhere in the UK are you Tim?
DeleteSouth Yorkshire - between Sheffield and Worksop. The local laughingly call it 'the north.'
DeleteNot quite as far as 'Dan Sarf'.
DeleteClose enough to drive there and back in a day. Might get to Vapnartak this year again if the weather clears.
My local show is Sheffield Triples on 18/19 May....
DeleteA bit far for a day trip!
DeleteFife has a smattering now (Saturday morning earlyish) a inch or two.Good excuse to read ,paint nd game i say!
ReplyDeleteYes, inch or two here, main roads are clear, sideroads are a bit slippy.
